Victoria Cooper

Victoria has enjoyed a career of more than thirty years working in tax, accountancy and audit. She started as an apprentice in Liverpool in 1989 with a small firm In Liverpool and since then has enjoyed senior roles both within industry and practice, successfully continuing her professional studies from AAT through to ACCA. Victoria has a full practising license with AAT which enables her to provide full professional technical services to the business community; assisting local businesses and individuals with their compliance obligations.

Victoria very much enjoys supporting time pressured business people; taking away the strain that HMRC compliance often brings and bringing clarity and transparency to the financials of everyday business transactions. She provides insight and advice when needed to give business owners and managers the information and tools they need to move their business forward.

In her spare time Victoria enjoys spending time with her family and dogs. She also enjoys playing field hockey and is currently Ely City Hockey Clubs’ goalie for the ladies third team. When she is not number crunching for her clients, walking the dogs or playing hockey you can usually find her stuck in a novel as she loves to read anything from Jane Austen to Margaret Atwood.

Victoria is also a director of Talking FreEly, a community interest company which promotes mental health awareness in the local area.

Lorraine Partridge

Lorraine keeps fit through a number of high intensity workouts each week and enjoys sports including hockey, tennis, walking and cycling. Lorraine loves travel and looks forward to holidaying in different countries and cultures. Her family takes most of her time up whether it be taking her son swimming, cycling or simply spending quality time with her family at home.

Stephanie Atkins

Stephanie began her accountancy career in 2011 in a Cambridge based accounting firm. In that practice, she completed her professional studies from AAT through to ACA. Starting off as part of the statutory accounts team, Stephanie moved to the virtual finance team post qualification, which led to a greater understanding of how firms operate and day to day running of finance and related operations.

Stephanie thrives in a busy work environment, enjoying getting into the detail of accounts to best assist clients. Stephanie’s role at Red Shoes Accounting includes year -end compliance for SME’s including annual accounts preparation and corporate tax compliance, accounts preparation and tax compliance for sole traders and partnerships, personal tax returns for private individuals, development of the Red Shoes Accounting Virtual Finance Office and dealing with complex VAT returns.

In her own time, Stephanie enjoys spending time on her PC gaming. If she is not in the virtual world, she often gets stuck into her writing or ends up digitally sketching characters from her own stories.

Ryan Lane

Ryan studied Accounting and Finance at Nottingham Trent University. After a successful temporary summer job at Red Shoes Accounting before Ryan’s final year of University, he returned the following year and is now the firm’s longest serving employee. Ryan’s organisation and thoroughness are good attributes for his payroll, tax and accountancy work. His main role at Red Shoes Accounting is payroll manager; however, he also works on VAT returns, annual accounts and self-assessment tax returns for a handful of clients. Some people say he is also the firms in-house ‘IT guy’.

When not producing payslips, Ryan is a speedy football player, an avid gym goer, and all-round health and fitness enthusiast and even claims his body is a ‘temple’.

James Hayden

James attended Ely Sixth Form and completed a Business and Administration Diploma which has improved his organisation skills. He is currently on an AAT Accounting Apprenticeship at Red Shoes and is enjoying being part of a small supportive team.

James enjoys spending time with his friends, although this mainly ends up in them sitting around loudly enjoying shenanigans within the virtual world. James also has an interest in writing and often creates collaborative stories with his friends.

Laura Barrow

Laura has recently left the Fire and Rescue Service, after enjoying an almost ten years of service as a full time Firefighter (the latter years of her career involved being promoted to Crew Commander.)
