We are delighted to have been invited to attend the launch party of the Ely Hero Awards at the beautiful Poets House Hotel and Restaurant in Ely this week.

The awards, now in their fifth year, shine a light on the heroes in our wonderful community who are the most compassionate, determined, honourable, kind, supportive and brave – people who are an inspiration to us all.

Finalists are then invited to the glitzy Award Ceremony in September – an evening of excitement and celebration, rewarding those in the community who make it great! Red Shoes Accounting is sponsoring the table wine at this fabulous event again this year. 

The awards are also raising money for Cambridgeshire Expressive  Arts  and Counselling Centre , a wonderful local charity that supports mental health in the community, providing counselling and expressive art therapies for children, young people and adults.

​Any individual who lives or works in Ely or the surrounding villages (up to a 10-mile radius) can be nominated for an Ely Hero Award in one of 10 categories.
